Matthew Wnuk
I am senior machine learning engineer and AI specialist with over a decade of experience developing advanced AI R&D and perception systems across defense, consumer electronics, and warehouse automation. I have served as a technical lead on high-impact projects ranging from government-sponsored research in radio frequency machine learning to large-scale commercial applications in computer vision, speech recognition, and multimodal AI.
Currently at Symbotic, I lead efforts in image embedding and large-scale perception systems for robotics automation, designing deep learning pipelines with Vision Transformers and deploying optimized models to embedded NVIDIA platforms. Previously, at Sony Electronics, he spearheaded the development of novel visual speech recognition (lip-reading) systems and retail product recognition technologies, holding multiple patents in machine learning applications. My earlier work at SPAWAR and DARPA advanced the use of GenAI and adversarial learning for RF-based defense systems.
